This academic project was to create and establish the look and casual voice for a sci-fi network channel from the ground up. My objective was to develop the channel’s identity from channel graphics, font, colour, audio, and motion design, which establishes the mood of the channel.

Orbit is a network home to all binge-worthy sci-fi and sub-genres. Orbit’s colour palette creates an old sci-fi vibe while feeling artificial and futuristic. The typography is a clean geometric sans completing the futuristic feeling. Orbit’s channel assets are flat clean. In contrast, the effects in the motion design provide a sense of a cyber-tech, mixing new-age sci-fi with retro. The channel theme is about capturing the viewer in the programming’s gravitational pull.
